Ok everyone. I believe we have put this post off long enough and it is now time to put out an official press release. As many of you know we had our CD Release party at the Madison Theater back on March 30th for our new EP “The Struggle Between”. What only a close few of you know is what happened a couple weeks after that.
Back in early April, Kenny (guitar/vocals) contacted the rest of us via group text and informed us that we would need to start looking for his replacement. After being with the band for nearly 8 years now, he said that he plain and simply just doesn’t have the passion to be in a band anymore. He has fun playing still, but just doesn’t have the passion that he knows we deserve to continue on.
The rest of us at the GH camp here were somewhat shocked by the announcement, but we honestly did see it coming. Talks over the next week would determine that Kenny would stay on with us until we found his replacement, and he would stick around to teach the new guitarist all of his parts to our songs.
There are no hard feelings between any of us. Everyone completely understands Kenny’s decision and we wish him luck with his future. He was one of the original guitarists and one of the key members in creating and defining the GH sound. Things will be different without him, but things will go on. Its the end of one long chapter and the start of a new one.
On that note, we are officially looking for a new guitarist. We practice on Wednesdays and Sundays in Green Township (right off the 74 northbend exit). Must have own equipment. Must have own transportation. If interested and/or for more information please contact us via our facebook page or phone at 513 315 7278.
End of One Chapter, Start of Another…
New Year, New Music,
Well everyone, it is now 2013 and this is my first update since August. Here are the big events that have happened in the last few months.
First off, we have finished recording our new album, “The Struggle Between…”. And I can honestly say it is some of the best material we have ever written. Kenny and Alex as a team has taken things to a whole new level and it shows on these new songs. If you want to hop over to our Reverbnation page then you can check out the title track off the new album. We are hoping to have everything in order and have our CD release show in the beginning of March. *fingers crossed*
Next, we have gotten to play some really cool shows in the last few months. We had the privilege of tearing up the stage at the Thompson House, Backyard Bar and Madison Theater with some really amazing local bands. If you get a chance, shoot on over to Facebook or Reverbnation and check out Origin of Ashes, Vehement Demise, Beverly Hellfire, Detrimental, Eyes on Tomorrow and Eternal Void.
We also got to tear up the stage along the likes of SALIVA back in December. It was awesome to be on the same bill as them. And we also took part in the Madison Theater Band Challenge. Though we only made it to the second round, we made an impression on the judges and staff and in the end that is more important.
Not much left to say besides look out in the upcoming months for our new album and more new music that is being created all the time.
Updates! Updates!
I haven’t really updated anything since about March. So I figure its due time. Since then we have been very busy. Hence me not updating this site. But I will just give you the cliff notes. We did not win the Tapouts Badass Band Challenge. We made it to the semi finals. But we were proud to make it that far. And everyone who came out to support us made us feel so loved. It was in short simply amazing.
After that we went into the studio to begin work on the upcoming “The Struggle Between EP”. While we are still putting the final touches on it, we are scheduled to have it released this fall. And we are very very proud of this product. It is perhaps the best material we have ever written. Alex and Kenny working together have taken things to a new level. And we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.
Other then that, we have played a few shows. We were privileged to be apart of Beardfest 2012 with a ton of great local talent. We also made our return to the Madison Theater to play with Eyes on Tomorrow, Assualt Machine, Sinful Crow, Detrimental and The Requiem. And if you have not heard or seen these bands go do it now. They are all amazing bands. It was a crazy ass night for sure. We will be playing with Eyes on Tomorrow again on September 8th along with Vehement Demise, Beverly Hellfire, Eternal Void and Victory over Vanity at HD Beans. And we will be playing with Detrimental again at the Madison Theater on September 14th along with Second Chance at Eden and Dark Region for a benefit show for local No Kill Shelters. But first is the Okeana Jam coming up this Friday the 1st. Its turning out to be a great and busy September. We hope to come out of it with even more good news and a date for the release of our new EP.
Past and Upcoming shows
Well, our last show didn’t exactly go to plan. We headlined the Madison Theater. And while it was a lot of fun to be up on the stage again, We didn’t go on until about Midnight. And with us playing last with 7 bands before us we lost the crowd to exhaustion. But the next show shall be a lot better. We will be participating in the Tapout Sports Bar Bad Ass Band Challenge. The first round is next Saturday, March 10th. We will be battling it out with Plastik Masters. Hit us up on facebook or any other way you can for tickets. And we hope to see everyone out there to support us and help us move on to the next round.

Updated site and New Show!
Well as you can kinda tell by now, the new site is up and running. Almost everything is up to date with exception of a couple pages needing image work done. But that will be done very soon!
In the meantime, I really need to tell you about our next show. One I have given the nickname our “Pre-V-Day Massacre”. Cause that is exactly what it will be. It is Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY. It is only $7 and all ages. But look who we have on this card:
-Gabriel’s Hounds
-Bloods Meridian
-Asmortium
-Hell Scorched Earth
-Of Abysmal Descent
-The Derived
-Fenrir
-Vile Indignation
It is going to be an insane show. These are some of the best death/metal bands in theĀ area and it is gonna be awesome to share the stage with each and every one of them. And on top of that, this will be Alex’s second show with us and it will be even bigger then his first. So lets just say this is a show you will not want to miss!
Hello world!
Hello all! Welcome to the new Gabriel’s Hounds official Website. We are currently under reconstruction, so check back at a later time and everything should be up to date!
